Olgoj Chorchoj

The Olgoj Chorchoj Studio, founded in 1990 by Michal Froněk and Jan Němeček during a workshop at the Vitra Design Museum, is one of the most famous design studios in the Czech Republic. Their work can be found in portfolios of leading Czech producers such as Ton, Bomma, Brokis, Kavalier, Lasvit etc. In addition to designing glass objects, they also focus on exhibition architecture, interior design and family houses. Among their products designed for Křehký, two designs in particular attracted the attention of many collectors: the bowl called Cuba (2009), which uses limited possibilities of heat treatment for the cut glass in the Moser glass works, and then there is the table called Tree from a single tree trunk with an inlay of tree growth rings within its centre.
